Lurie Children’s Program Management for New Facility
In June of 2012, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago (formerly Children’s Memorial Hospital) moved from its Lincoln Park facility to a new, state of the art building in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood. Lurie Children’s turned to Burwood Group for to help with this substantial transition.
Program Management
Burwood Group Project Leadership consultants worked with technical, clinical, and construction teams to transition 12 remote clinics and hospitals to Lurie Children’s new wide-area-network. Our consultants also coordinated six physical office and lab moves, including their transition to a new network.
Burwood Group held Lurie Children’s numerous, high-level stakeholder groups to deadlines and facilitated regular communication between them. By doing so, we were able to align these transition projects to high-level organizational strategies and prioritize them based on hospital business goals. As a result, each was completed on-time and on-budget.
Technology Consulting
Our technology consultants designed an organization-wide bring your own device strategy for the new hospital to securely accommodate the growing number of personal devices joining the hospital network. Burwood Group also refined and redesigned the hospital’s research center network.
Burwood Group was excited to take part in this smooth and safe transition of Lurie Children’s and proud to enable their ongoing efforts to increase patient safety and the efficiency of care.
