As part of a vision to enhance its student experience with a modern, technology-driven learning environment, a renowned medical education institution was converting a historic manufacturing plant into a cutting edge learning facility.  

As one of the nation’s top 10 health care organizations, Advocate Health Care wanted to update and expand its use of videoconferencing technology to reduce business travel requirements and improve patient care outcomes throughout geographically dispersed hospital locations.

The College of Pharmacy within the University of Illinois at Chicago has long offered streaming video classes to better attract and serve geographically dispersed students. However, the demand for distance learning eventually exceeded the capacity of the existing campus network.
